Penny Bamford

Born and educated in UK, I made my living as a scientist mostly in Medical Research. Nevertheless I have always made art wherever I could. I spin and weave, knit and crochet, and for the last 10 years also needlefelt with any fibre in any state. Since coming to the NW in 2012 I have shown in Bellingham and Lynden as well as Sudden Valley. My pictures are tapestry woven or in twills or felted, sometimes all at once. My subjects are from the natural world and I hope that you like to look at them whether they make sense to you or not.
